“CHANGING SITUATIONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES THROUGH EARNEST PRAYER”
04 March 2013

Bible Verse:

17Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
James 5:17-18

Apostle Renato D. Carillo Said:
“The Lord is looking for an intercessor, so that His plans will be fulfilled, His power will be displayed and all situations and circumstances will be changed.”

THE SECRET:
1. Pray Earnestly. In Elijah’s time, the heaven that is closed for almost three and a half years, which caused for the rain not to fall, but because of what Elijah did- a perfect, earnest, prevailing prayer led, it caused for the heaven to open and the rain to fall on the land, and the earth produced crops.
The prayer of a righteous man is effective and powerful.  We must not forget this truth that the only solution/ answer to our problem are God for He controlled everything, He just waiting us, our quick and urgent obedience to Him.  Our earnest prayer to change all things according to His perfect will.  It is an obedience that His will be taken in place.  Our task is to be patient and steadfast faith through prayers.
Self-denial is not enough but a total self-forsaken life is a must.
We must also keep asking God to always teach us to pray, for a true prayer does not follow a definite pattern, having a talk directly to Him.  The Lord never forgets our prayers as He remembered His covenant from our forefathers.  Earnest prayers cries and groaning of Israelites was heard by God.

23During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.
Exodus 2:23-25

Then, the Lord answered them. He remembered His covenant with them and sent “The Deliverer” – Moses to us! also, through our earnest, and prevailing prayers.  God will always hear our prayers as His covenant to us in JIOS through the man of God, “To finish the will of the Father.”
