AVODAH: VOCATION, CALLING, SERVICE

More than just means to make money, our jobs can be one vehicle for setting the world right.

Avodah connotes service. (It is also the word for slavery, which is involuntary service.) Work is not only a necessary part of life; it is a form of service to the world, to the rest of humanity, and to God. We are meant to be of service, to be partners with God in the ongoing creation of the world. Yet even as we serve God, we also serve our fellow human beings.

THANK YOU FOR NEVER LEAVING ME NO MATTER WHAT

Perhaps you’ve traveled down your own dusty road to Emmaus with circumstances leaving you confused, troubled, and depressed. Perhaps you been discouraged and wondered: Where in the world is Jesus anyway?

If so, remember this my friend, just because we cannot see Jesus or sense His
presence, does not mean that He is absent. Just because we can’t see Him
working does not mean that He isn’t.

He is walking the path with you…

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age…Matthew 28:20

He is praying for you…

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them…Hebrews 7:25

He is working on your behalf…

In his defense Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working… John 5:17

Jesus assures us with these words: “And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age” …Matthew 28:20

Let’s Pray:
Jesus, thank You for always being with me, for praying for me, and for working
on my behalf. Help me to not lose heart when times get tough and the road gets rough. Thank You for never leaving me…no matter what.  In Your Name I pray, Amen.

KAIBIGAN

Iba talaga yung nagagawa kapag kasama mo yung mga 

kaibigan mo no? Nawawala yung stress, worries and pain sa

 buhay mo. 

Kitain mo sila today. Kwentuhan kayo. Foodtrip. Coffee 

bonding. Gala sa mall. Punta sa Church. Share your 

problems at mga mabibigat na feelings mo. Gagaan yan. 

Irelease mo lang yang 'pain', nandiyan naman sila para 

makinig at bigyan ka ng advice.

ALAM MONG MAHAL KITA

“Lord Jesus, You knew all things about me inside and outside, You knew that I have weaknesses, alam mong ito lang ang kaya kong gawin, ngunit kahit ganito ako ay alam mong mahal kita.” 

Thank you God! You always know just how to "Wow" me!

... His moments become an ahhh of mine--Thank-you God for sharing your moments with me...

SOMETIMES, OUR LIFE SEEMS LIKE THESE…

Referring to Jesus’ friendship with Mary and Martha, Brennan Manning Writes, “Exhausted from the hurly-burly of ministry, heavyhearted with the intrigue of the Pharisees and the pettiness of the apostles, longing for female companionship, he seeks out his 2 dear friends.”

But when Martha seems more interested in preparing his supper and criticizing her sister Mary for not helping, Jesus responds: “Cool it Martha.  We’ll have the trout almondine later.  I’m worn out, lonely, empty and frightened.”

Jesus continued, “I’m heading to the Holy City and as you know, a prophet must die in Jerusalem.  So Martha, drop the frying pan, come over here, sit beside your sister Mary and hold my hand.  I need you, Martha.  Mary’s got a grip on where I’m at.  She knows that I’m fully human, have a sensitive human heart and long to be treated as a man who is human.”

Dear Friend,

Wanna say thank you for all the sincere kindness of friendship you’ve spattered to me.  Honestly and with all genuineness, you’re one of the best people I’ve ever met.  In line to that remarks, I really want to signify that I love the way you deal with me; with all of my immaturities, imperfection and flaws, not as you put your compromise to it but to give me space to grow and provide me liberty to find myself.  For me, the paradigm of amity you publicized to your friends is one of the greatest achievements you’ve done in your life.

I felt that I was so much flattered when we became friends; so much flattered that I felt also I’m not worthy to be associated with you, especially at this lowest point of my life that I formulated and done a decision that seems dim-witted in the eyes of many people.

After this decision, you will hear rumors about my leaving, thus, I absolutely accept and understand if you want to keep distance of me; that’s the consequences I must bear.  My vulnerability as a woman is now resting on its peak, so sorry.  Therefore, I didn’t acquire your high expectation of me, so forgive me.

After all, I’m the same “Yhang” you’ve met before- simple, shy, silent or mediocre.  If I still found gratifying in your eyes, I’m present in no time to be your thoughtful friend until 

HIS coming.
