ATE M:)

I do not believe in the idea of having a best friend because of not-so-good experiences in the past.  But Ate Almina changed everything.  We belonged to the same faith at Church.
Here we are…

Cheesy
Every time we have text chats, the word “I love you” is always twinned to it.  When I go to Church and not that busy after the service, I will text her, “Ate, Kitakitz po sa uwian ah, I love you.”  And she will reply, “Sige po Ate Yhang, kitakitz po, I love you.” As cheesy as it was but it brings joy that money can’t buy.

The moment I realized I had a best friend
I knew I had a best friend in Ate Almina when, just like any relationship, what we had between us was tested and shaken.  But what surprised was that this person never gave up on me. She never left me hanging. She made me believe that friendship is really not only for when times are good. She showed that our friendship is too precious to be broken.  I found a friend deeply concerned about my feelings, someone who did not take me for granted.

My hardest decision
The moment I want to decide to leave what i am now, Ate Almina is one of the first person I told.  We were exchanging thanks and happy stories on text when I broke the news to her. She burst into sadness and told me that it would never be the same when I'm gone.  This was also the time when our friendship started to bloom in its fragrance and beauty, so she was feeling especially vulnerable.

Treks
I promised her that even if my decision became true, we would see each other often.  I will go to her house and she will visit to us, too.

She never gets tired of me.
What I love most about her is that she embraces the real me. I can be honest and blunt with her.  I love her because she makes me feel that I am important and our friendship is special.

Through thick and thin
Above all, I will never stop being her younger sister, her confidante and her friend because I know that she will do the same for me.  Through thick and thin, I will always be here for her.

THANK YOU ATE MINS, I LOVE YOU:)

Thank you Ate Mins, muli, sa paper bag na puno ng pagmamahal at pagkalinga, haha (Huwebes, 31 July 2014).
