DEAREST NESTOR

YOU WILL NOT UNDERSTAND UNLESS YOU BECAME A MOTHER

"Spending your energy giving someone else wings only for them to learn to fly off on their own — that is motherhood." πŸ¦‹

What a privilege it's been to walk this journey of motherhood. They say you don't understand what it's like until you become a mama yourself. I understand now.

And I'm abundantly grateful.

DEAREST NEYA

‘I want my daughter to know⁣

that no one’s worth chasing.⁣

Because if a parent, grandparent, sibling, cousin, love interest, or friend⁣ wanted to see her, they would.⁣

 ⁣

They didn't make the effort?⁣

They chose not to include her?⁣

I’ll tell her to match their energy,⁣

because she doesn't need to prove her worth to anyone.⁣

 ⁣

I don't want her to chase her way⁣

into a relationship that doesn't work.⁣

 ⁣

Because when she stops trying with these people,⁣

the relationship will be over⁣

and she’d waste her time, effort, and love.⁣

 ⁣

I hope she's confident enough⁣

to never let her happiness depend on anyone⁣

and to know how much she has to offer.⁣

 ⁣

So, the only thing I want her to chase⁣

is her dreams.

 ⁣

Because the right people

who belong in her life will stay,⁣

just for being herself.’

ONE STEP AT A TIME IS STILL A PROGRESS

To those who cry themselves to sleep at night, feeling overwhelmed by the weight of everything you have to carry—your responsibilities, your worries, the uncertainty of your own emotions—I see you.

You wake up every day, exhausted before it even begins, and yet you push through. Whether it’s work, family, or just trying to hold yourself together, the routine never stops. And even though you feel like you’re breaking inside, you still show up, doing what needs to be done, because you have no other choice. It’s not easy, and sometimes it feels like you’re barely making it. Cry your pains and breathe, at least you deserve that.

I know life doesn’t slow down just because you’re struggling. The bills still come, the deadlines still loom, and the expectations keep piling up. It’s hard when the weight of everything feels like it’s crushing you, and no one seems to notice. But believe me, you’re not alone in feeling this way. Many of us are out here, just like you, pushing through the unknown, battling invisible struggles. It’s okay to feel lost sometimes—what matters is that you’re still here, facing each day, even when it feels impossible. One step at a time is still progress, and that’s something to hold onto.

A WOMAN AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART

 A Woman after God’s Heart ♥️

Let us rephrase “Babae ka, Hindi Babae Lang” to “You are a precious woman of God”. In this world, there are different misconceptions of being a woman but doesn’t understand what it really takes, maybe because people, our world has already set expectations what a woman should be such as “kapag babae ka, kailangan mong mag-asawa.. mag-alaga ng mga anak.. sa bahay lang at hindi na magta-trabaho” etc..

I’ve been always praying “Lord, Gusto ko pong malaman kung ano po ba talaga ‘yung true definition of a Godly woman”; Then amazingly, He revealed so much things when I read about the Proverbs 31 in the bible — In this chapter, King Lemuel wrote about her mother who has the fear in the Lord. It shows the picture of an ideal woman, an example of a virtuous wife and a mother who teaches her children to love the Lord.

It really takes a lot of courage, obedience and patience in preparation for all the things we desired for — to become a good friend, daughter, leader, partner, sibling and future wife but Just like a Proverbs 31 woman, may we all be self-less, hardworking, considerate and a pleasing woman who sincerely loves the Lord. A woman who honors God by seeking him in everything she does and trusting him wholeheartedly with her life. We all have flaws and We are not called to be a ‘perfect woman’ but this is an encouragement to always Seek for wisdom, not to tell you to become “more” but to appreciate every moment and celebrate having a heart that is completely in awe of God. πŸ’•

I DESERVE ANOTHER SHOT AT HAPPINESS

I can still remember the time when I begged for love. I lost my colors. I settled for the "maybe", the "I'll see if I can" and the "I'm tired". I endured the pain of every no, and over time I started to believe that maybe, just maybe, that's what I deserve. That I should just be grateful for the rare "yes" and just sit in the corner waiting.

It took some time, but when I finally realized that I'm slowly turning into this broken soul I always feared to be, I tried my best to get up and walk away. Step by step, I dragged my feet, and that's when I learned that one of the most difficult things to do in life is to walk away from things that you've always wanted. But I did it.

I did it because every day seemed like it's raining and I wanted to see the sun again. I did it for the days when I would laugh so hard my stomach would hurt. I did it because I wanted to believe that despite the messed up person that I am, despite all the scars and the holes in my chest, I deserve another shot at happiness.

I know it took a while, but I couldn't be prouder.

I did it.

MARRY A GOOD PERSON

You might be thinking that the most important decision you'll make is the biggest purchase of your life - house, cars, investments.

But according to Filipino business tycoon, the biggest decision of your life is your Partner, your partner to all your challenges and success.

John Gokongwei Jr. said,

"The most important decision you have to make in your life is whom you’re going to marry. That decision will dictate the rest of your life, whether you will have a happy life or a miserable one".

Marry a good person.

Your spouse should be an ally in happiness and not a source of misery. The challenge is to find someone who shares the same beliefs and principles and can be your partner in parenthood and all aspects of your life.

GOD REMEMBERS

π†πŽπƒ π‘π„πŒπ„πŒππ„π‘π’.

_____

We call it anthropomorphism. When God said that He will forgive people, it was said that He will forget their sins (Isa 43:25; Jer 31:34; Heb 8:12). When God shows His favor to people after seemingly withholding it for quite some time, it is said that God remembers them.

I like the way the biblical authors use the phrase “God remembers” in their narratives.

Perhaps because of uncertainties, hardships, unanswered prayers, and a long time of waiting, these people thought that maybe God had already forgotten them.

He remembers them.

God hid the names of His people in His heart. “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!” (Isa 49:15). Even in His suffering, Christ assures the dying thief that He will not forget him (Lk 23:42–43).

Though at times He seems silent and distant and things don’t go as planned, we can trust the God who never forgets to have our best interests in His mind.

Lord, remember us.

JOHN 3:16

 No baptism

No communion

No confirmation

No speaking in tongues

No mission trip

No volunteering

No financial gifts

No church clothes

He couldn’t even bend his knees to pray. He didn’t say the sinner’s prayer and among other things, he was a criminal and he was worthy of death.

Jesus didn’t take way his pain, heal his body, or smite his scoffers.

He was a thief who walked into paradise the same hour as Jesus simply by believing.

He had nothing more to offer other than his belief that Jesus was who He said He was.

No spin from brilliant theologians.

No ego or arrogance.

No shiny lights, skinny jeans, or crafty words.

No haze machine, donuts, or coffee in the lobby.

Just a naked dying man on a cross unable to even fold his hands to pray.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that WHOEVER believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
