I MISS YOU OPPA

For the past months – tears fallen, beer nights alone, sadness, emptiness and self-pity.. were my hobby before I got to know you, Oppa. I don’t know yet if knowing you was only my self’s will or God’s will, but one thing I treasured in my heart – allowing myself to have you is one of the greatest gift I gave to myself.

DOC. THANK YOU. SINCERELY

DOC AND THE CHIPDUDES

Sa bawat awitin ika’y mapapangiti
Mapapangiti sa hatid nilang saya
Saya na dulot ng magalakin nilang puso
Puso na positibong ika’y paindakin..

Gusto kong ngumiti, gusto kong sumaya!
Gusto kong lumundag, gustong kong sumayaw!
Sa saliw ng tugtuging hatid ng gitara!
Walang iwanan, walang kurapan!

Doc and the Chipdudes, yan talaga sila!

ALL ABOUT A DOCTOR

Honor Physicians for their services,
For the Lord created them;
For their gift of healing comes from the Most High,
And they are rewarded by the King.

The skill of Physicians makes them distinguished,
And in the presence of the great they are admired.

The Lord created medicines out of the earth,
And the sensible will not despise them.

Was not water made sweet with a tree
In order that its power might be known?

And He gave skill to human beings that
He might be glorified in His marvelous works.

By them the Physician heals and takes away pain;
The Pharmacist makes a mixture from them.

God’s works will never be finished;
And from Him health spreads over all the earth.

My child, when you are ill, do not delay,
But pray to the Lord, and He will heal you.

Give up your faults and direct your hands rightly,
And cleanse your heart from all sin.

Offer a sweet-smelling sacrifice,
And a memorial portion of choice flour,
And pour oil on your offering,
As much as you can afford.

Then give the Physician his place,
For the Lord created him;
Do not let him leave you
For you need him.

There may come a time,
When recovery lies in the hands of Physicians,
For they too pray to the Lord,
That he grant them success in diagnosis,
And in healing, for the sake of preserving life.

He who sins against his Maker,

Will be defiant toward the Physician.

KAIBIGAN

Nagmahal ka ng tapat
Ngunit sa kanya ay hindi sapat

Ang nakaraan ay kalimutan
Sa mga tulad niyang lumisan

Lumisan ng walang paalam
Sayo ay walang pakialam

Huwag panghinayangan
Kung ika’y kanyang pinabayaan

Ang tulad niya ay hindi karapatdapat
Sa pagmamahal mo na tapat

Huwag ka nang mag-alala
At sayangin ang abala

Nandito lang kami
Sa iyong tabi

Hindi ka iiwan
At lagi kang gagabayan

Mga kaibigan
Na hindi ka iiwan

WALA MAN LANG PAALAM

O sadyang pagsuyo mo’y naglaho?
Mga tanong na iniwan mo sa aking puso.

Ako man ay sinaktan hindi ko ito pinagsisisihan
Tapat na pagsuyo’y sa iyo inilaan
At patuloy na magmamahal sa ating nakaraan.

Labis man kitang mahal
Nangangarap na sana ikaw na lang
Paano ba malimot ang tulad mo?
Paano mahal?

YOU TEACH THEM

You teach people how to talk to you with tenderness, how to be patient and kind, how to forgive and encourage and listen and trust.

You teach them how to wait for you, how to let you speak your mind, how to hold your hand and kiss your lips and pull you close when you’re trembling. You teach them in the way you wrap your knees to your chest when you’re afraid, in the way you gently brush blush across your cheeks, in the way you lather lotion over your skin and bandage your cuts and carefully smooth over each blemish with love, not hate.

You do not settle for anger, for bitterness, for voices that silence you without letting you speak. You do not allow negativity to change your self-image, or for relationships to shape your self-definition. You do not pick at every mistake or flaw, wishing to alter who you are and have always been.

In the way you care for yourself, appreciate your imperfect, beautiful being – that is how you teach people how to treat you. So when you fall into an argument with someone you love, when your ground is shaken, when life gets difficult, people know they are to respect you as you respect yourself. They are to be kind to you, as you are to your own heart. They should value you, as you place value on your thoughts and being. They should love you, as you have wholly and completely fallen in love with yourself – despite imperfections and failures and pieces of you that are still working on becoming who you’re meant to be.

In the way you speak to yourself, listen to your heart, encourage and push and strengthen and grow: that is how you teach others to treat you. With respect. With tenacity.
