When I was a child, I’m dreaming of a father who can always usher me inside the Jollibee to buy me a bunch of chickenjoy and a lot of large fries.

A father who can buy me a dozen of lovely and expensive barbiedolls..

A father who can build me a cute yellow sunflower painted room filled with books, pillows and teadybears..

A father who earned above minimum wage so that our dining table be filled everyday with a mouth-watering yummy meaty foods..

My real father is far different from a father I’m dreaming of having..

When I and my 3 siblings were only a child, our dad always usher us inside the jollibee..

I MEAN, our dad always usher us inside the Church teaching us to pray, worship, love and serve Jesus. Afterwards, our dad will buy a lot of friedchicken and cheezyfries..

I MEAN, our dad will buy some pieces of bread and together we’ll eat with a great joy in the spirit..

A GREAT JOY THAT NO AMOUNT OF MONEY CAN BUY.

He is our dad who always usher us inside the company where he work for, for us to lead a worship song as an intro before his Bible Study. Afterwards, he will accompany us to their canteen and together we’ll eat breakfast with a great smile..

A GREAT SMILE THAT ONLY JESUS AND OUR DAD CAN GIVE.

He is our dad who pleads every summer, “Will you please register my 4 children to that youthcamp even I don’t have cash in hand and I’ll promise I’ll return to hand you the payment. I don’t want them to miss what God will bring in that camp.”

He is our dad who says, “Enjoy your life to the fullest with Jesus. I cannot give all that you wanted in life but your Heavenly Father can do that..”

Pa, HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY po. Every blessing we have in our lives now is the fruit of your labor in teaching us that delighting ourselves to Him will give us our heart’s desire.

Pa, we’re not a “Pastor/Pastora” now that you want us to be but we want to assure you that no one can separate us from the love of Christ.

NO ONE.

PERIOD.

Pa, personally, thank you for being such a thoughtful, methodical and steady father to me, understanding the partly weird side of me : D

I asked God (recently) to give me someone like you in the near future (God is laughing I guess : D

Thank you for reminding me that God is faithful, creative and impeccable in His time and that was really the source of my strength : )

Pa, I’m done letting go of the “Dream Father” I’d constructed in my mind when I’m a child because for me, YOU’RE MY FATHER WHO MAKE ALL MY DREAMS COME TRUE : )
