WOMEN ARE PEOPLE NOT CHECKLIST

POST:
In this generation, if you’re able to come across a girl who doesn’t like to party, who doesn’t smoke anything, who doesn’t do drugs, who doesn’t need all of the attention, who doesn’t require the materialistic things, who doesn’t entertain every cute guy she comes across, who’s secure about herself, who doesn’t play games with your feelings, who knows how to be loyal to just only one man, who’s trying to get her life together, who’s attempting to do something with her life, who’s only going to school and work before she goes home, who has her priorities figured out, who still believes in a relationship, then that’s kind of girl you want. That’s the kind of girl you want to be with before she gets older. That’s the kind of girl you want to be with before someone else comes along and damages her. That’s the kind of girl you want to be with before she ends up broken in the hands of another man. That’s the kind of the girl you want to be with before she gets fucked over by enough people who forces her to change. That’s the kind of girl you want to invest years with and instill knowledge to. That’s the kind of girl you wanna marry and start a family with one day. That’s the kind of girl you do everything you can to hold on to because girls like that are almost all gone. That’s the kind of girl you don’t wanna fuck up on. So if you have a girl like that, then you’re luckier than most men.

COMMENT:
I cannot express how disappointed I am that this kind of stuff is not immediately seen as degrading, sexist, and disgusting.

If you don’t get why this pisses me off, here’s a bulleted list:

-using terms like “the kind of girl this” or “the kind of girl that” puts down other women and pits women against each other because its promoting the idea that “some women” are better than others.

-Saying “get yourself that kind of girl” assumes that women who fit into these arbitrary standards and expectations are the only women you can love. Like they’re the only women who should be loved.

-In relation to that last point, this kind of post promotes the idea that women’s qualities are only validated if someone is there to love them.

-“before someone else comes along and damages her” and all the other stupid statements like those are sexist and degrading. Women are not dolls or ceramic, they’re people. She’s not “damaged” just because she doesn’t fit your standards.

-“before she ends up broken in the hands of another man.” Why do you assume her being with anyone but you is going to make her suddenly unlovable?! You’re not protecting her, you’re putting her in a box and on a pedestal.

In conclusion, shut up. Stop assuming that woman who doesn’t live in accordance to your rules is automatically lesser than others. Every girl is figuring it out one day at a time, and guess what? So is every person.
